Dear patient,
We are writing to tell you that Dr James has formally let us know she will end her contract to provide all GP services at Mevagissey Surgery on 31 July 2019. You do not need to take any action now – It will be business as usual at the surgery, and you are advised to continue using your GP surgery as normal.

As joint commissioners, NHS England & NHS Improvement and NHS Kernow Clinical Commissioning Group, have a responsibility to make sure GP care is available to all and we are working closely to look at alternative options for patients of Mevagissey Surgery.

We will work with patients, the wider community and other health and care services, to identify what services the local area needs for the future.

In the meantime, we want to understand how this could impact you so please take the time to complete this online survey from Wednesday 15 May:

www.engage.england.nhs.uk.
Use the search tool to find ‘Mevagissey Surgery’ to respond. Paper copies are also available at the surgery.
You can email, phone or write to us to provide feedback and ask questions. Please get in touch by:
• Calling: 0113 825 5299
• Emailing: england.primarycaremedical@nhs.net
• Writing: See address at top of letter

We will also be available at Mevagissey and Gorran Haven Surgery to talk with you about these changes. Please feel free to come along at any time during the sessions on:

Friday 17 May 12pm – 2pm Mevagissey Surgery
Monday 20 May 12pm – 2pm Gorran Haven Branch Surgery
Monday 20 May 5pm – 7pm Mevagissey Surgery
Thursday 23 May 10am – 2pm Mevagissey Surgery

We will write to you again when we have confirmation about the alternative options for
patients of Mevagissey Surgery.
