Healthwatch Cornwall Research Manager chosen to represent patient experience in end of life care for Point of Care Foundation
Healthwatch Cornwall Research Manager Natalie Swann is one of 7 professionals chosen from the County to provide expertise in patient feedback for a quality improvement project ‘The Sweeny Programme’.
The programme focuses on improving patient experience in end of life care providing training to enable health service staff to step into patients’ shoes and see care through their eyes.
Using tried, tested and effective tools and experiential techniques, the programme helps staff get as close to experiencing the patient’s journey as possible. The training changes mind-sets and leaves staff equipped to continue to adapt and improve their services.
