Our latest project will give people who have been through the safeguarding process a voice.

Healthwatch Cornwall has been appointed to hear the stories of people in Cornwall who have received support through safeguarding. They are setting up a user group that represents the many different people who have been through the safeguarding process.

Healthwatch Cornwall has been appointed to hear the stories of people in Cornwall who have received support through safeguarding. They are setting up a user group that represents the many different people who have been through the safeguarding process.

Healthwatch Cornwall has extensive experience delivering engagement projects and working with people from a wide variety of communities to help bring about change.

Becky Harrison-Plastow has been appointed by HC as the Adult Safeguarding Engagement Officer to drive forward this important work

During the coming weeks she will be drawing together an expert user group that represents the many different people who have been through the safeguarding process. The service users and stakeholder organisations together will co-design methods of engagement and materials that are accessible to the seldom heard. This group will be pivotal in shaping and delivering the project, ensuring that the evaluation undertaken is meaningful, useful and insightful as we seek to improve safeguarding for everyone.

We will be sharing the development and findings of this exciting project with you regularly and look forward to sharing more with you soon.
