How has the covid pandemic affected you?

Healthwatch Cornwall are carrying out an important project into the impacts of covid on people in Cornwall

The pandemic has had a profound impact on people's lives since the first lockdown in March 2020. Our organisation has carried out several pieces of research on this, and we continue to have an interest in how this has affected people and the health and social care sector they access for care and support.

As the health and social care champion for people in Cornwall, we have an ongoing interest in exploring this subject and would really like to learn more about people's experiences, specifically from the perspective of mental and physical wellbeing, and lifestyle. During February, we will be speaking to people about their experiences through focus groups and interviews.

If you or the people you support are interested in sharing experiences in small focus groups or interviews, we would really like to hear from you as we continue to understand the impact on our residents.

We would very much like to speak to people including those with:

  • Mental health issues
  • Physical disabilities
  • People aged 65+
  • Long covid patients
  • Ethnic minorities
  • Substance misuse issues
  • Carers
  • Domestic violence.
